Yet another version of the Saw Till

Kevin French, Warner, NH

>I had been researching and just started making some intial drawings for a Saw Till when I pulled into the Dump and here is this great Oak Bookcase Carcass. I knew immediately it was going to be my saw till. I was tying it to the top of my truck and a guy walks up and says, "did you get the glass doors?" "GLASS DOORS???"

I had two add two inches to the depth of the case and put in two shelves. It now holds 43 saws of all types. Most don't get used but if one has a Till this big one has to fill it.

>Kevin,

I like that! Do you 'collect' any particular type saw or just any that catch your eye?

What is the best thing (other than price) about this till? What is the one thing that you would change?

Thanks,

Tom

>I'm not picky. Now a days I find enough good saws in the dump, Even a junk saw has some good split nuts. The only saws I buy now are Ferts Saws. I'm still looking for a good small one.

I like the size of it, and the three hiegths of saws I can put in it.

I wish it was bigger,?. I'd like to find a way to hang the Fret and Coping Saws better. Now they are hung off metal hooks.

>Eat your hearts out I now have THREE (3) Dump Stickers on my truck. Warner's, Work Town and now Antrim. which reminds me to change it above. It's the Work Dump that all the "Finds" come from and that one's not listed.

Dumppicking Already?

Todd O. Cronkhite Native of Maine

>Now let me get this straight Kevin, you just moved from a place that had a monster 3 story barn(which is still causing me much pain) had to put lots o' stuff in storage, take lots o' stuff back to the dump (which is still causing me much pain) and now you're yarding more stuff home from the dump already? GOOD ON YA'!!

That's a nice looking cabinet for your saw collection, glass doors and everything, WOOOF, you're uptown now eh? ;~)

Todd O. Who's suffering from Bubble Burst because I thought I was doing good when I found 17 10"x16" 3.4" pieces of plywood scraps in the trash this morning.

I feel no more Pain

Todd O. Cronkhite Native of Maine

>I am now completely Numb. Yup, numb as a pounded thumb. To be able to leave a barn/shop/haven/get out of the wifes sight place I'll just never know, unless of coarse you've in fact upgraded. Has this place sold yet?

>Upgrading, but downsizing. Yes the place is sold. We signed the papers last Friday. It was on the market for Five (5) Days, Three offers. We took the lowest offer and got him up to where we wanted to sell. And best of all "To A WW'a!" He Turns and has a 12" Lathe, he needed a shop for it and was a day away from signing papers on building his own.

Todd I found Four (4) set of metal shelving today at the dump. That should put me over the top for storage. Oh ya, a Flannel Quilted, (or should that be Quilted Flannel) St Johns Bay (J. C. Pennys) shirt with all the tags on it, to include the $31 price tag.
