mortise gauge thumb screw

>Hi everyone, thanks for the great discussion on Stanley. I just got a beautiful old rosewood mortise marking gauge from ebay. It needs the points sharpened some but otherwise it is in very nice condition, at least for me to use. It has a standard slot head screw in the body (that holds the cross bar snug or allows positioning of the mortise, not the width). I am assuming it originally had a brass thumbscrew instead of this screw. I dont want to have to grab a screwdriver every time I want to adjust the positioning of a mortise. So, does anyone know where I can find a brass thumbscrew that might fit this thing? I can find out the thread and length needed when I get around to it but I would love to find a hardware source that I can get one from.

Thanks and happy cutting.

David
