Don - [thinking that I maybe do not really need a Craftsman, a Stanley AND a Record rabbett plane all at the same time]

Speaking of tool porn er cheesecake photos why not

Eric Hedberg

>publish a glossy mini poster of the Veritas line (maybe a catalog centerfold). Then I could post it as "shop art" as I pine for the ultimate tool collection. A little bit more "politically correct" than the usual "shop art". If you want to include one with a "Lee" girl (or "Lee" guy for the alternate market) presenting the product that's okay too ;-)

It's a good idea, but we're working on something different....

>Shame Rob, a Blue Flag! Couldn't you have at least made a bet with the Calgary store to fly a Flames flag to get rid of the karma associated with the dreaded *blue* flag????

Wouldn't be much...

Do it this way *LINK*

Dan Donaldson

>For an image, you have to link directly to the image itself, not the page it is on. Also, unless it is your page, it is not considered nice to link directly to a picture because it chews up the other sites bandwidth with no credit.(Not reprimanding, just saying that some site owners get quite upset when you do this) Better to either copy the picture and use the upload from your own computer, or link to the page.

>Hi Don,

Thanks for the welcome. Just trying to figure things out. I'm kind of a slow head when it comes to this stuff. How'd you make my test picture work????? If you really want to help, please ping me off list.

Galoot Central is a free picture hosting site where all who subscribe are site administrators. Welcome to my corner of the worldwide web. This is where I display pictures of tool finds, projects and whatsits.

Worked great!! ;-)

Dan Donaldson

>Posted as a link rather than a picture fixed it. I didn't actually get your other picture to work. I deleted the reference in the image box and moved it to the link url box. If you are linking to a picture in the image url, it has to have a name something like "http://somesite.xxx/somedirectory/imagename.jpg" If the url name does not end with something like jpg or gif, then it is a page and will not show up as a picture. The actual name of the picture if you wanted to put in the optional image url would be "http://wdynamic.com/galoots/4images/data/media/22/devolution.jpg"

If you copy that address and paste it into your browser, you will get just the picture without the rest of the page. I put it here the way I did instead of pasting it into the image url was so that you could try it, but it would not automatically load when this thread is opened. Had you used this address in your original post, it would have worked.
