Trip to Millersville

Darrin

>Next week, I will be making a furniture delivery to Millersville, Md. This will be a fairly quick turn-around since time is money. What I am wondering, are there any good places to hunt rust? Unfortunately, I won't have time to hit any museums. There's always next time, right? I appreciate any hints you can give me. I will be coming from Dallas, so I'm not sure exactly what route I will take, probably the shortest line. Thats what the boss likes.

TIA

>Used to live close there. It's between Baltimore and D.C. right? I don't know of any special places to rust hunt except the Georgetown Flea Market in D.C. but it's on Sundays. Maybe Todd H can add some others.JR

>Have no idea where Millersville is, I don't live in THAT Maryland, I'm from the Eastern Shore ! I used to go to the columbia md. flea market everyweek to set up. think they still have it on Sundays in the parking Garage by the big mall. Is another flea market off rt. 2 called i believe Brumleys[?] went there a couple times a few months back and I did very well buying,[Premo everlast$3 yankee in the box $5] went with a friend and she drove so i really don't know the directions but maybe they are online.I think this market has potential. I've been going just about every Sunday to the Georgetown flea market with a girlfriend that sets up there to help her.Not many tools and we get there early so if any are there I get them all by 6:30....I took some nice but nothing special molding planes to sell for fun and put $20 ea. on them and another dealer told me i was pricing them way to cheap. He had some firewood ones with no cutters that he had priced at $45! Kind of funny I thought......Todd

>Well, I got back from my trip delivering furniture. While going through Tennessee, I stopped at a rest stop and was browsing through the pamphlets. One pamphlet in particular caught my eye. Hmmmm, thought I, I need to stop at this place and check it out. Now some of you may know of this place, and some may have visited. This is the first time I remember seeing anything about it.

The museum of Appalachia was the high point of my week, last week. If you have not been there, and you are passing through Knoxville, spend a few hours there and enjoy yourself. The barn alone I spent the most time in looking at all the old tools. The Hall of Fame was filled with old instruments and histories of musicians from the area.

Took lots of pics and am waiting for them to be developed. I am hoping the sightings pics will turn out good. Thanks for reading.
