Weekend Projects

Ernie Miller Topeka

>Its the WEEKEND and it couldnt have come sooner! I have blown my rust budget for the week and tomorrow I am having a garage sale to recoup some of my money. It has been a good week so far I bought 10 saws 2 plane and some gizmos and gadgets. I will try and turn some chisel handle during the sale if there are any quiet times. The wife will paint the shed. Sunday we have an Easter basket exchange and luncheon to go to that will be a blast I made a wine bottle stopper and a wine bottle puzzle to put in mine Im not giving out the answer. I have a brother and his wife spending the weekend and first half of next week with us. He is in from Grand Junction Co. I have a lot of little lose ends that need tied up betting none get done. EVERY ONE HAVE A SAFE AND ROCKIN GOOD WEEKEND!!!!!

>Saturday:

Hope to get to a flea-market in the morning, then do whatever SWMBO wants me to do for the rest of the day.

Sunday:

Zap my "new" Sargent knuckle joint. Talk about rusty, oof, it's fugly.

Start the process of putting drawers into the space between the top tray, and bottom tray of a little metal stand/cart that I have as I NEED to create more storage space.

>Finally got the small sleigh bed assembled last week, so now I'm givin' it a good shellackin'. I haven't used walnut in the last few years. I forgot how nice it is to work with. And really good looking stuff it is, too.

>I am spending today building side boards for my truck. Tomorrow the moving begins. I have to take a table and chairs to Maine tomorrow for my brother-in-law. Mid month move my brother-in-law, end of month move myself, (4000sq' of storage into >2000), and a week after that move my son.

When you have a big truck you're everyones friend.

>Just got rid of my S10 186,000 on it, no problems with it in 8 years.

The plus side of this is I'm going from a barn with a wood stove to a basement with a furnace. No more waiting and hour for the temp to go up 10 degrees.

That and I'll have 38 arces to play with. I can put a lot of the 4000sq' under tarps till I can sell it or find a place for it.

It still ain't going to be pretty, -or fun.

>I'm pushinf 160,00 on mt '93 S-10 and it's still going STRONG! I have the 4.3 V-6 and boys and girls that is the only way to go. This is my 3rd vehicle with a 4.3 and they all three have/had been EXCELLENT performers. We still have 2 of the 3. Sold the first one when we transfered to Japan in '98.

38 ACRES! IN NEW HAMPSHIRE?! YOU SUCK!! I have no more sympathy for you now. ;~) Man you lucky dog. Whatcha' got in mind for it? Crops? Cattle? I think I hate you.

I really noticed the difference when I got rid of my 1981 long-bed F250 - no more moving requests!

It's almost all woods. I'm going to sit on it for about 10 years, then subdivide about 2, 7 acre lots off the top of it and launch myself straight into retirement with a paid off house.
