Noooooooooooo, a #1 is far too expensive to be a toy in my book. I got her a small (cheap) wooden one with a blade that doesn't look like it could hold an edge. (Safer that way - she won't cut herself.)

I really would like to meet some of the woodworkers in the area some time. It always seems that the breakfast meetings always fall when I'm on night shift. Actually, the PATINA sale fell on night shift so I took some time off.
I did make the attempt to look at name tags that people were wearing - but for some reason I kept looking at all the tools. :) Funny thing though, the first thing my wife noticed was Todd's truck with the horse's skull on it.
Getting together at a location would work - but will anyone remember it a year from now? :)
