Unusual Estwing tool?

Todd O. Cronkhite Native of Maine

>Went to the flea market this morning because I'm still bummed about my garage door being broken. I wanted to work in the shop, but hate with the door down due to bad lighting.

While there I saw what looked like a golf club, but instead of a head it had a scoop. The bottom of the scoop had three slots in the bottom, and one the front was two stubby prongs that made it look like a Giant Manta Reay. The shaft of this tool was all aluminum. Looked to me to be a golf ball scooper but why would Estwing make one of those? The fella who has it is wheel chair bound uses it to drag boxes of stuff in and out of his booth. Anybody got any ideas what this is?

>It's a Gem scoop, one of their rock-hound tools. Folks use it to move stuff around on the ground without having to bend over, or to stick it into cracks and under logs without having to worry about snakes.

It's listed at www.estwing.com under geological tools.

I don't have one, but several of my rockhound friends use it.
