Portable Plane Carrier--Ideas?

Joe Hurst

>I've seen an impressive array of in-shop solutions for plans and saws, but I have to ask...what do you guys use to transport your planes out of the shop?

So far, I've resorted to wrapping a few of my users in old dishtowels and gingerly placing them in the bottom of my toolbox, but there's got to be a better way.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

>Hey Joe,

Here is a good site filled with information about tools, benches (including travel benches), and tool storage. I am attaching a link that is specific to your question, albeit, for carrying a full compliment of Neander tools.

Hope this helps.

If you will look on this page and scroll almost to the bottom of the page, it shows a pretty good picture of the door.

>Thanks Scott. Yours is a lot closer to my skill level plus I can always get Ernie to empty it.

>Not bad Scott - if you're tools were purchased at Harbor Freight. But if you've got some old classics in there, at least show them the respect of using a Guinness box.

Cheers! :-)
