Hellow!

Ernie Miller Topeka

>I have made it back from part one of mt trip to Texas I'm questioning part two. any way I did manage to have some fun. Went to an estate sale and a garage sale. first I picked up a 60 1/2 for $4 and a couple stones and a bucket of shaker pegs and dowell pins for $2 I also ended up with a couple round rasps? at the garage sale I bought a wheel barrow full of Misqueet anout 25 BF for $20 is that a good price? Did some fishing that was alot of fun. Cappin says I don't take my fissin seriosuly. went dolphin watchin and to the aquarium. spent every morning walking the dogs on the beach they love chasing Sand Pipers. Weather got cold had to go to mexico for my Medicines. and went to an auction at a cabinet shop. Talk about dangerous tools didn't buy any thing. on the way home Saturday I stoped at a flea market I bought 10 cedar boards for $20 8" X8' X 1/2" thick then had to spend $3 on a hand saw to cut them short enough to haul home. I left the dull plastic handled saw with the man with the wood. Had a great time with my parents and my sister and her husband. My parents are still there along with several other family members. It sure is nice to be home with some new wood.

>Glad your back! I missed your "Have a Rockin Good Weekend"tm signoff.

The mesquite sounds like a nice deal! The bonus is that the small scraps can be used to add some great smoke flavour to a BBQ. (Which happens to be a long way off with this weather in Ottawa!)

Can't be that much harder up thear maybe the first step would be shovel pathe to grill but no real problem 52 here today sure beats the seventys down in Texas

>52 F, that's practically suntanning weather! The high today was 12 F, which is very balmy compared to last week. It was only -43 with windchill. Same with parts all over the NorthEast.

I'm a wimp for the month of January and avoid the BBQ. Once February comes, most of the harsh cold spells are behind us and I will make the quick run to put food on and off the grill!

Glad your back

>Ernie,

Sounds like a relaxing time. Going to make it to the Sawduster's this Sat? We're going to talk about what people want to see/do this year, good time to put your 2 cents in.

Also I've got a project where I could use a hollow & round, possible to use yours if I bring my diamond stone and help sharpen them all?

>I won't be making the sawdusters but you are welcome to use the planes. I realy need to get some shop time in this weekend I have to finish the boxes for under the bench I need to store some tools that extra bench is about 2 feet deep with tools that have no place to live.

>It was only 70 for a couple days there were three days of 40's with 30 mile winds I still went to the beach. It was a great trip. Spent some needed time with my parents and a sister. I burn real easy so I don't like the sun but it was fairly cloudy so the burn was minimal. Did I tell you it was a great trip! I managed to sleep through Austin booth ways.

>Yeah, we had a cold spell go through during the last week or two. No reason to wake up for Austin, unless you wanted to take a HD coffee break from the I-35 mayhem.

Tell me your not saying...

Rob from Kansas

>You have too many tools! Or are you just trying to "hide" them from your wife? :)

BTW you need to come see my "new" band saw. I've ordered tires and am trying to figure out if I can safely transport it to get it sandblasted. It has such a small footprint and I don't want to have it tip and break in transit. I might have to look at buying a small unit and doing it myself.

I'll give you a call tomorrow night and see what your schedule is like and when you go back to Texas.

>I have a small blaster if you want to use it. it is the syphon type and take quite a bit of compressor to run it. mine dosen't keep up very well but it works for what I need it to do.
