Need Help Locating Plans
Hey fellow wood butchers,
I need some help locating a set of plans. I have misplaced my templates for my Chair makers' stool. There are published plans for the stool, I just can't remember by who. It is Mike Dunbar's Chair makers' stool, It was 19" tall with an oversized seat, maybe 14"/15" diameter. Do any of you remember who published the plans? My first set of templates I made from one of his stools when I took one of his classes, then a set I made from the published plans. I need them for our SAPFM meeting in November.
Thanks in advance for any and all info.

I have the Dunbar book "The American Country Woodworker" that contains the Windsor stool as one of the projects. I'll gladly gift you the book if it would be of use.

Which SAPFM Chapter? Tidewater? Blue Ridge? Where will it be held? Are you planning to be the main presenter?
I can't find any notice posted on the sapfm.org website announcing any meeting anywhere in November, and I'd like to start planning as soon as possible so I won't miss the meeting. I've missed way too many meetings since the COVID pandemic threw a wooden shoe (sabot) into the works.

Sir William
No, I will not be the main presenter. They just said for those of us that have built stools to bring examples. The presenter is somebody that I am not familiar with and I don't recall his name. His presentation is going to be on joined stools. The second presentation will be on shop time savers: Such as how to flatten a board with a hand plane, how to sharpen a V gouge, etc. The meeting is going to be November 4 in Edenton, NC at Ben Hobbs Shop 948 Pender RD, Hertford NC. Contact Jim Francis at jfrancisjl@aol.com for all the details. Hope this helps.
