Chincy devices for thin stock support.
Straight from the pages of Home Not So Handyman. My bench is the same height as my table saw and is about 5' away from the outfeed extension. When I rip long thin stock sometimes it stubs on the edge of the bench. The method I usually use for transitioning long thin stock to the bench top was on the phone with her sister and I was in hurry to get this trim ripped. I made the first device from a piece of shim and a scrap of plywood to get the stock ripped and installed before rain set in. I have a support roller but it stock can stub on it causing it to tip so it does not get used much.
Later I made one from aluminum that is a bit neater.
I can picture the aluminum one being useful on a job site used with a contractors saw and saw horses.
