White finish on red Oak Questions
I have built a shoe bench for my son and DIL. It's a Maple slab with a live edge on top of a frame built of red oak with five Oak trays or drawers in it. The idea is this is in an alcove in their back entry hall and you put your shoes in your tray on the way in and on the way out you sit on the bench and put your shoes back on. The maple slab will have polyurethane and DIL wants the base painted white. (I wanted to pickle it in white buy got out voted for white paint. The trays are open and you can see all the way into the bench.
So the question is what would you use for white paint? Brush it on? Spray Cans? Spray gun? Help!
