New improvement installing sand paper on drum sander

A few may remember I have a Grizzly dual drum sander 24" wide.  I struggled with installing the sand paper and decided to make the conversion to hook and loop.  Still a struggle to get it just right.  Sandpaper needs to be pressed on very tightly or it will wrinkle and try to fold over itself and tend tear and make dramatic flopping noises.  Today I installed new strips of paper after such an event.  I rolled it as tightly as I could and then I used a roller to roll over it while turning the drums by hand.  Over and over until the crunching noises stopped.  Maybe five minutes all together.  Serious improvement.  This is nearly a two person job but I don't have a second person.  The roller was an improvement, try it.
