Is anyone else experiencing this?

>Is the endless having to reset preferences EVER going to be over? Having to do it over, and over, and over, and over, and over is extremely irritating and obnoxious.

Nothing has changed recently, so I don't know what would be causing this. There has only been three times in the last year that would have caused this, and the last time was in February as I recall when I needed to rename a directory on the server (if you pay attention to the URLs, it used to be /home/forum and is now /bbs/forum).

If you fill in the form, it will put a "cookie" on your device to remember the values you selected. Some like to use it to fine-tune how messages are displayed, such as how many messages are displayed using a time frame (last x days, weeks, months, etc.), how they are displayed (as Single Messages where you need to click on each reply or a Guestbook mode where all replies are displayed on one page, etc.

As long as one doesn't do anything to delete these cookies, there should be no need to have to set the preferences again to override the default values. A user can delete them using a browser feature to "clear the cache," which usually contains an option to also delete cookies. Moreover, browsers also have options to not accept cookies and/or to automatically delete the cache and cookies every time you shut it down (which is referred to as a "session").

For some reason ebd is having to frequently redefine the preferences he prefers. To me, this indicates that for some reason his browser, or perhaps some security software he has installed, is deleting or modifying these cookies. However, that does not rule out that is actually is a server issue, but if it is, I don't know how to find it, as I'm not having that issue nor are others reporting similar problems.

Can you identify any patterns as to when this happens? Does it happen only when you close your browser and then restart it? Do you have any security software installed that may be affecting how cookies are stored?

What browser do you use (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)?

I noticed in the Feedback forum you posted
