Very interesting, Howard. I'd also like to see really high-end saws being made. They are hand forged IIRC, and hand filed.

That was my first impression, this was a factory for the low end saws sold for less than $30. The plastic handle was the final clue.

You're right, Ellis - I think all of us here would have more of an affinity for seeing handmade artisan objects being created.

And, yes, Dick - this is about industrial production - I love factories and studying the engineering associated with assembly lines.

Though many of us here mightd find it interesting.

My favorite part of the video was when they zoomed in on the guy's foot pressing a pedal. Definitely not filmed by folks with industrial backgrounds.

My favorite part was the guy about one minute in whose job it was to brush the burr off the end of every blade.  My dream job (not) to sit there and do this 60,000 times a year.  A stunning level of simplicity based on the complexity and sophistication of the rest of the process.  Not being a manufacturer I can not fathom how you can set up this operation for inexpensive saws.

Did Mahogany Masterpieces not advertise their Ouchii chisels in one of your magazines Ellis.  If so, you have been denying yourself far too long.  They used to sell this 3 cassette set for a hefty price.  Some saw work in the second video.
