OT DIAMOND Blade?
With an up coming chimney project looming could use a bit of advice. I want to "surgically " remove the concrete crown using my angle grinder with a diamond blade. I see there are different types. I am wondering if a segmented blade would be the most efficient?
Thoughts?

All the blades for cutting concrete I've seen are segmented and broadly classified as wet or dry for either hard or soft concrete. However, they are usually for cutting lots of concrete, as in floors and driveways.
But as for "surgically" removing a concrete cap on a (brick?) chimney, IDK. Have you experimented trying to cut it using just a standard abrasive disc?

I would first try using a brick chisel.

I decided on a diamond blade as they seem to cut faster. Since I want "surgical " remove it a chisel and hammer are not my preferred choice.
