First of eight drawers for my under bench cabinets

As I have said, it's nothing to write home about, but here is my first of these drawers. It's made of pine sides and back with redwood front. All hand done. The half blind dovetails at the front are my first ones ever.

ps. Bill is not wrong about pine. It kind of has a mind of its own; and redwood is even worse. You live and learn. I scored the wood free from a couple of craftsmen, the redwood from a guy who did some work for my daughter in CT, who had some left over, and the pine from the wife of a neighbor who gave me a bunch after her husband passed.

I believe pine is traditional, but I would not recommend redwood-- it's too soft and is easily deformed. I don't want to switch now , so I'll probably dance with the gal who invited me to the dance.

I hope after the next seven drawers to get better at it.

I really am thinking about going back to my Keller jig for some of the others!

Wish me luck.
