Be safe, Eliot. Make 32 drawers! Or, if you have the stamina, 64 drawers .... but that might not leave much space for tools. Mmmm .. better rethink this.

I'm still trying to get ONE drawer right. It has been suggested that redwood is not a good choice for half blind dovetailing. I do see that it tends to crumble. On the other hand, it's soft and easy to cut. For example, I had no trouble using a card scraper for deepening the the half pin kerfs. But I  think I will experiment with some other wood for the drawer fronts to see if things go better.
