Re: Under bench cabinet dry fitted together
Eliot, I consider shop furniture to be an opportunity to try out new or different techniques. I keep a drawer of test joints - different dovetails, M&T, etc - which I use for reference when feeling particularly spatially challenged (liable to do something backwards). Why not have drawers in your cabinet, and each one is a different method of construction? It would be great practice. Even keeping mistakes to remind you what to avoid doing.
Give some thought as to what you will keep inside the drawers. This will aid in orientating any dividers - horizontally or vertically. Examples on this page: http://www.inthewoodshop.com/Furniture/UnderbenchCabinetDrawers567%20.html
