Re: Question

I did take a page out of you book, but I didn't use sandpaper. Instead, I used a very good block plane and skimmed just a tiny bit off where you suggested sandpaper. That didn't actually work because it turned out that the problem wasn't that the fit was too tight because of the width of the shelf; it was too tight because I hadn't cut the depth of the dado quite enough. I fixed it by deepening the dado a little bit. I could have just shortened the shelf a bit; but, for some reason, that didn't appeal to me. I guess I just didn't want different length shelves.

Re: Question

I'm getting there. Today I dry fitted the second, identical, case together. It went together easier than the first one. I'll glue it up tomorrow. All this just for the cases!

Now I have to try to make some drawers. I see from the back and forth discussion between Derek and Bill that I have along way to go!

I'll keep at it.
