Another bridge underway

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.

In our numbering system this is bridge number 18. It needs a name. 19 is named Sunny Side from the song "Keep on the Sunny Side" made famous by the Carter family that lived a shot distance from this bridge.

The curve in this bridge makes it harder to lay out the deck. It is laid out in 12' straight sections to make a polygon approximating a circle.

Hope to put the rails on by Wednesday.

rails follow the arc

The flexible rails will in fact follow the arc of the bridge. But the posts and curbs will be at the points of a polygon.

All of these bridges, is begging the question. When does it become a "a bridge to far"?

Im thinking something along the lines of

1 Keith Newton

May the circle be unbroken for a name.

That is the likely name for B-18. Now we need a compliment for B 17

You won’t beat Keith’s choice—unbroken circle, or circle unbroken.

I have always been for place names. Less confusion. Sort of like our SeaTac airport being changed to some politician's(?) name, and then back to good old Seatac.
