My son has a bronze plaque that he wants to mount on the outside of his brick bungalow. He'd like it to be secure, but removable for future brick maintenance or whatever. The plaque has three tapped holes in the back that will get short studs screwed into them. (see picture) These studs will be embedded in holes drilled into the brick/morter that get filled with construction adhesive. What sort of adhesive would be good for this to allow future removal without damaging the plaque by prying it off the wall? I was wondering about expanding polyurethane foam. Thanks in advance.

Silicone caulk will do fine.

A sliver of softwood in one of the holes will hold it.

Another option is to mount it to an intermediate plate that can then be mounted with exposed fasteners.

If the studs are long enough, no adhesive is necessary. Getting 3 holes perfectly parallel in brick and mortar is tricky, so long, threaded studs will provide plenty of pull-out resistance. If it does happen to sag a little, I’d add a little silicone caulk.

Brass and bronze are popular for walking off. A lot of designers are less pragmatic than they should be. If you design this attachment make sure it doesn't destroy the substrate when stolen. That means using pins on the weak side. Even shearable.

Also, you can use matched, threaded domed screws and tap out the drive slots after install. Destroy and replace the pins if maintenance is necessary.

The plate looks freeform, so casual protrusions of the pins should be acceptable.
