Custom Blade Identification

I bought a Norris Panel Plane about 18-19 yrs ago. Along with the period blade and cap iron, it had a very special blade made at great expense. Unfortunately, I lost any written correspondence regarding the blade or who I bought it from. (A move will do that.)
I've attached a couple images of the blade showing material inserts to reduce chatter or something of the sort and an image of the maker's mark which I do not recognize. As I remember the maker said it would cost $1,000.00 to reproduce that blade and he would never do it again. It seems a considerable amount of skill and effort went into this experiment? I was wondering if any know of this effort or the maker behind the stamped logo.
