Flattening a wooden potato chip question
Barry Irby
My son brought a burl back from Florida maybe fifteen years ago and we had it sawed into slabs. Some of them are about 24" by 30" but sadly only 1" thick. We did not know to saw them thicker. Now we would like to make a coffee table out of one. Don't know what the wood is but it's not something we would find here in VA and tough as nails.
If we try to flatten this potato chip on a CNC we will end up with nothing. Been thinking of steaming it and then weighting it down, making it flatter and drying it again. Any suggestions?
