not sure how to upload a pic
Howard in Toronto
I've read the instructions and don't see the blue box to click so I can upload some pics from my computer.
Can someone give me a hand?
Thanks.

The button in question is right above the text composition box. See picture. Oh, and make sure that your image is small enough -- the FAQ gives the allowed file size limits.

Hi Howard,
1. To see the display that John posted, you need to register a Profile.
2. Resizing is always a mystery to me. I find this Resizer program written by Winston Chang very useful:

Hi Howard,
Your registered name is Howard Rosenberg, so you won't see the Upload button unless you reset your preferences. Current filesize limit for JPG files is 1 Mb, so your images will have to be reduced to something under that. Our messageboard field is 800 pixels wide, so a quick way to get camera images down to size is to reduce the pixel width to 600 or 800, and then change the jpg compression until the pic is small enough. If you're familiar with Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or one of the other imaging programs, this will be quick and easy. If not, you might want to try an online service. Wiley recommended one, and another that I have used in the past is called picresize.com.
See how you do, and let me know via email if you need further assistance.
