Go to your Ebay purchase history and in the "more actions", click "return item", and follow the menu.. If your item was listed as non returnable, you may be out of luck. If you've already done that, I have no idea. I've returned a few things in the past with no problem.

Under what circumstances are you returning? There are numerous routes to return depending on the circumstances. For a simple return what you were advised is the preferred route. You even get a shipping label printed.

Or, One can always contact the seller and ask for instructions ifa simple return won't work. I have done that too.

I had a case where I was sold a tea pot that had some tar like crap in it and the seller would not take it back. I documented the issue and sent documentation to Ebay's resolution center and the problem got fixed quickly.

..go under orders, initiate a return. If the seller doesn't respond and the item is returnable, ebay will step in. If the seller tries to rob you during the return process and make a false statement, you'll still have recourse through ebay (they'll just pay the return instead of the seller).

Further investigation shows my mistake; not going all the way back to find the actual provider of the item to eBay. Had I investigated back far enough I would have found the origin of the item and they are the company, not eBay, that I should have contacted with my first call. eBay wants nothing to do with me and I could not even find my item in My Account. Live and learn! P
