Rails to Trails bridge progress

Bridge construction has settled into a routine. Each day a 12' section of old ties is removed, the steel cleaned and painted and new ties, curbs and runners attached.
Work slowed at the cantilevered section which will be an observation area. The large 8 x 8 x 20 "ties were hard to handle and their twists and bows corrected.
Material is carried to the position where it will be set with this small excavator.
In five more days we will be off the steel with a 60' section of ties on wood beams remaining. Then the bridge will be decked and railed.
