Went to buy birch veneer plywood and found them totally cleared out of any of the better veneered plywood. What I ended up getting was what they call "sanded" plywood. I asked what species the face veneer is and no one could tell me. Any of you out there might know what the face veneer is? Thanks
We (Home Hardware, Canada ) sell radiata pine, a nice product in between furniture grade plywood and construction plywood. Possibly that is what you got.
The short answer is that it could be anything. Home Depot buys at least some of the plywood from a company in NC. This plywood is easy to spot because it has a core of poplar. The face will be maple, hard or soft.
If the plywood is Chinese the wood could be anything.
