Shop made dust collector hose boom.

I made this boom to add dust collection to my PM 66 last spring during the shutdown. Can't remember why the stores were closed but that's another thread. I saw an ad for a boom online named for a Greek mythology god. If I'm naming this one its going to be called the "The Sanford" cause its built from junk. 1" x 1" x 1/8" wall steel tubing, 1/2" dia steel rod for the pivot rod, 1/2" EMT conduit for the extension. Misc cable ties and a short nylon strap.
I started by building a motor cover for the saw. A 99 dollar price tag for a plastic molded cover sent me to the wood rack to find enough plywood to build the cover. (plywood was scrounged from someone down the street tossing 3/4 of a sheet of 3/8" BC ply) The brown paint was from a left over paint sample. I would have used the standard dust collector port on the saw but the mobile base covered it so I ran 4" PVC through the motor cover down to the bottom of the saw base which I had covered in plywood. I have since moved the new saw port location lower to account for the coupler as shown in the 3rd pic.

I used Rockler 4" flex hose which is a very nice product.
The hose extends far enough to reach my work bench where it can be hooked to my router table. The hose tucks under the canoe when not in use. I did have to purchase the hose and fittings but most other items were on hand.
