OT- Garage Floor Tiles?

Looking at some options for our garage floor. It has lot of spalding from,I assume winter salt, and a very unsuccessful epoxy painting project from a number of years ago. It is to the point of having to be addressed. I have made 2 new garage doors and they are waiting to be installed after I sort out the floor.

My original idea was a new concrete floor. Had a quote then the contractor backed out saying he has too much work. So on a bit of a whim I started exploring the idea of tiles. It appears that the PVC flexible tiles are a option vs. the rigid type.

Price wise it would be less that 50% of a tear out and new concrete.

Wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them? The brand that has caught my attention is Armour Garage.

I used RaceDeck® rigid tiles in mine - about six years ago. I got the ones with an open grid, not the solid ones. Easy install, and they still look god-as-new. Was about $2.50 ft² back then.

Don't know about the PVC mats.

Stall mats are tough, 3/4" thick, will hold up to abuse from 1200 lb horses. I put them over dirt and gravel inside and out, should be fine over concrete.

Made of recycled tires so they may have a strong rubber smell for a while. Some are smooth on one side, some are textured. Some have diagonal grooves molded on the underside, presumably to lower material cost and increase profits.

Stall mats are 4'x6' and not too difficult to cut with a utility knife if you know how. Very heavy and awkward to handle even with two people. But I use a simple trick for moving and placing them by myself.

They will last forever if the donkeys don't chew the corners. If driving a car on them I might use some construction glue on those at the garage door that could slide on smooth concrete.

Around here they are about $40-$50 each but I was given a discount when I bought an entire pallet. 25 I think. 'Bout time to buy more...

My son put a couple in his garage as a test. (He was considering getting a lot and covering the entire floor.). Oil and whatever other automotive fluids got on them dissolved whatever adhesive force holds them together. They turned into crumbs wherever they got contaminated.

I've got a few samples of PVC tiles comi. So far I am very impressed with the products and the install is not difficult.
