I was Covid 19 vaccinated today

My wife and I are part of the Pfizer Covid vaccine trial. I was accepted for the trial in September, assigned a trial number and that number in turn assigned to whether I received vaccine or placebo. Neither Pfizer nor I knew what I got. Since, I have been monitored weekly and blood sampled periodically to test for vaccine antibodies for immunity and virus antibodies to see if I became infected, or not.
In early November the vaccine was declared a success by Pfizer. Astonishingly, it took another month for FDA to give the vaccine emergency use authorization, EUA, so vaccinations could begin.
At the start of the trial participants were told we would be "Unblinded", that is whether we got vaccine or placebo, when the vaccine was approved for use. Vaccine for the placebo group was reserved at the trial site for this group, a fact seemingly unknown to a lot of academic input as to what to do next with the placebo group.
To make a very long story short, after several revisions of the plan that ranged from keeping us blinded for 2 years to the current plan of keeping us blinded no later than March 1, the shorter date has been decided for now. It is significant that while blinded the placebo group remained at risk of infection and death. The Pfizer trial was biased 50% over age 55.
I was unblinded last week, vaccinated today. The injection is 0.3 mL deep muscle injection with a 24 ga needle. I did not feel it. I also relinquished a blood sample and snot from a nose swab. I won't tell you I did not feel a nose probe going to my middle brain.
I had no soreness for the first 6 hours but developing some soreness now, a dull modest ache. That means it is working.
Pfizer detected immunity beginning 12 days after injection, full immunity 7 days after 2nd injection. Early animal trials showed vaccination prevented virus replication in the nasal area and lungs.
THERE IS NO REASON TO FEAR THIS VACCINE
