I used Plow Slick when I lived in the Akron area and it really helped. I use it now on my mower decks to help keep the grass from clumping.

I'm in a western burb of Cleveland. We got an honest 10 to 12 inches. Just depends on how it blows in off of the lake.

It looks fluffy but isn't. It's actually pretty wet. Something broke on my 2 stage snow blower right after I started. Never fails. Had to do it the old way with a shovel and the snow kept sticking to it.

Had to drive out to Wellington Oh and back last night to get one of my dogs. White knuckle drive.

I use ArmorAll on all my sticky surfaces - snowblower, mowing deck, leaf shredder, etc. Clean the area & spray it on. Once it drys nothing sticks. It's slippery as heck.

Thanks, I've had to do that before, but I think it's the thing that spins and shoots the snow out of the chute.

I may not be remember correctly but when I redid my snowblower I think there was a shear bolt there also.

Any tenacious lube is a good idea.

I use PAM cooking spray.

The heavy, wet stuff puts real strain on older moving parts.

While it's becoming rare, if necessary I shovel the first pass down the middle so I needn't clear a full width path, first time down.

The most recent storm was like a layer cake - really dense on the bottom.

As part of my fall prep, I put Nu Finish on everything, inside the Auger housing, the shoot, and on the outside of the blower.

I also use it on my hand tools and my bare cast iron like table saw tops

I see they now have a spray which will be helpful for midseason tuneups and getting it in and around the second stage auger

Here in Colorado Springs it was 45° so I was spraying lacquer yesterday instead of snow blower lube. 🎄
