How about going back to Powermatic? Or check the link given.

What are the symptoms? Is it completely dead (no display on the inverter) or does the display lit up but the lathe doesn't run? If the display has letters and numbers what are they?
I read that certain large capacitors occasionally fail and are easily replaced.
Doc Green has a section on his website on PM Electronics (under Articles) with debugging info. It refers to a 3520 but almost everything about the 30520b is the same.
He also knows where to get one repaired. I didn't save his most recent post about this but a few years ago he gave me this:
One Stop Resource 3447 Denton Road Thomasville, NC 27360

Jimmy, my 3520 is OOC for 4 months. I am trying to find a repairman business for my 3520 -- no A or B or C. Many places will want to sell you a new one but several have told me the B is obsolete. Today I found a place that claims they will repair the inverter!! That is a 1st for me after months of failure. John has good advise shown below- - find an elec. engineer to test your machine before you spend $1K for nothing. If my "find" turns out to be legitimate I will pass it along. P.

I thank each one you for your responses and following up now. John, we plugged the lathe in, no lights of any kind. Electricity traced into the inverter terminals but no juice from there on. any where in the inverter or out. Powermatic said the item was discontinued and even though their website says one in stock their tech guy said no. So contacting Delta. Thanks guys.

Yep, sounds broke!
When I had one fail on a Jet 1642 I took it all apart and traced the power to a circuit board where I gave up without schematics.
I've seen the Delta S1 VFDs on eBay for less then from Delta. You will have to program it. Powermatic might give you the parameters but if not the easiest thing is to find where someone already wrote down all those that were changed from the defaults. I know that list is out there somewhere because I've seen it for that lathe.
(Oh, I just found the file - Harvey Meyer sent it to me about 5 years ago! If you find the Delta hardware and need the list of parameters send me an email.)
Note also that you can replace the Delta with any VFD that will handle the power and make it work. Just have to study up on the programming. I did that once when the one on my Jet lathe went out. I found one that was a lot cheaper than the Delta and a WAY lot cheaper than what Jet wanted for it at the time.

Hi Jimmy, Yesterday I spoke to Cynthia at a company called One Stop Resources any she gave me a quote for Repair of my 3520 and I am sure she will help you. 877--434-6771. She will need the data on the nameplate, the manufacturer of the Inverter, etc. I found her very helpful and anxious to help. P.
