Sharpening Stellite tipped bandsaw blade???

Barry Irby

I have an old Hitachi Bandsaw B600a and was running a Stellite tipped blade on it until I hit a screw. I did not realize there was a second broken piece of screw in the same hole. This blade is 3" wide and about 111" long. Now it basically won't cut. A few bad words were spoken. I have not examined it closely. Is there a chance it can be sharpened? The pieces of Stellite are so tiny I suspect some are missing, but don't have the heart to go look. Where does one send such a blade?

But first see if they have a diamond stone for the grinder.

I haven't called him in ages, but Louis Iturra is my recommendation.

If he can't do it, he'll be able to source a replacement or find someone who can.
