they are pretty much passive cooling so dust will build up in them and block the air flow. With that said I would hang it upside down in the shop off the ceiling. You can place it in a plexiglass case if you want just allow about half inch clearance all around it. Or just blow out the dust every once in awhile.

How about enclosing it in some sort of bag made of filter fabric like that used in dust collector fabric filters? I presume that fabric material would be transparent to radio waves.

as long as you have enough airflow across it you should be good.

Ideally, you would blow it out about once a year, more if it looks necessary, with pure nitrogen.

A vacuum cleaner bag?

If you had a vacuum cleaner bag, or "delicates" laundry bag it should be enough. I would just run it as is, and brush it off until it fails.

I've seen some horrific debris on functioning home server gear. Most of it is built to withstand mishandling by the dumbest 18 year old wearing his first uniform.
