Boric Acid ? for those who know Chemistry
Barry Irby
I have been using BoraCare to treat wood to resist insects and decay. It's a Borate in thick glycol and you reduce it with water. How much water depends on what the application is for. It gets expensive. Around a $100 a gallon.
John in MN mentioned using roach powder and harmless glycol.
I looked at 20 Mule Team Borax. I also looked at Timbor.
I would like for my accumulated stash of lumber to last as long as I do. So, can anyone look at the various Borates and glycols and give some advice on what to use to spray fresh lumber to keep insects out?
