Steambending Thanks

Tom G

This summer I posted to get some advice for my first steam bending project. As always, this group was amazing and the advice was spot on. Here's the finished product, which I have been using since August. The hoop is 3 1/8th strips of ash, which I bent in a piece of PVC. Not pretty but worked great. I used tight bond 3. I was not sure how well it would do, but this net spends a lot of time partially in the water, when I am wading mostly and it seems to be just fine. This was a prototype but as with numerous other prototypes, seems to be filling the bill so don't know if I will overcome inertia and make another. And of course gotta show off a nice Idaho rainbow.
