I came across some of the above "hiding" in one of my cabinets while doing some shop cleaning.
Has anyone had these sharpened? Have you done it yourself?

Around 1995 I shared an office and desktop computer with another geologist who was very computer illiterate (and only a few years older than I was, so I didn't think this was taking unfair advantage).
The auto-correct dictionary didn't have a lot of the technical terms we used, but it had a feature where you could add new words. Typing the mineral name "chrsyocolla" one day, it occurred to me to add it to the dictionary, and then it occurred to me to add it as Elmer Fudd would say it. Within a couple days I had about 50 to 100 words in there in Fudd speak. My carpool buddy called it the Fudd Virus.
After a couple drill reports were typed and turned in by my office mate, the boss came around at lunch and told me it was very funny, but to fix it

Personally, I find that the really small solid-carbide ones usually get broken before they can get dull. I have some larger ones but haven't used them nearly as much so they aren't at the "try to find a sharpener" stage.

I have sent back bits to Whiteside to re-sharpen. It worked well except the diameter became smaller and the jigs I had used it with did not work anymore.
It was not their fault, of course. Obviously, that would happen. I was just surprised about it.
For another bit, it had a chip and they could not sharpen it. It is now my "beater bit."
