Has anyone sprayed Rust-oleum and used a hardner? If so what hardner did you use?

I sprayed a big old all metal trailer with my old binks gun. I just thinned the paint with mineral spirits. It dried pretty fast and has held up for about 10 years. It's still O.K.

Appreciate the reply! Going to sandblast my rims on my truck and repaint. Though adding hardner would make it more durable.
