What is the machine???
Barry Irby
I have been watching Ishitani (Japan) and Squarerule (Korea) videos and both of them have a woodworking machine I don't recognize.
It has a horizontal shaft with a ten or twelve inch blade like a table saw, except the blade is almost completely exposed. (One ahs a dust hood that doesn't seem to catch much dust or offer much protection. There is a sliding table with a fence. They make a shoulder cut on a tenon and then slide the wood up to the exposed blade to remove the cheek. Similar to how I would do it on a bandsaw but with a circular saw blade.
Seems to be a factory level old school machine. Any idea of the name?
(Incidentally, both sets of videos are nice to watch. Good mix of hand and power tools, no narration, no crappy music, very well done.)
