OT Anybody got a Greenworks 40 volt string trimmer

There is one available at the freight auction today and I thought it might make a good start on getting some Green Works cordless tools. Is that even a good idea?

I love my Dewalt string trimmer. But I really like to keep cordless tools in the family of batteries I already have.

Yep. Had mine for 3+ years and it, and the original batteries, are still going strong. Make sure it's not a "naked tool" that comes without a battery and charger if you're just starting to use the brand. I have 4 of their yard tools, 2 purchased with battery and 2 naked.

I bought one that was in a shredded box and was not sure all the parts were there, so I bought a second one, sight unseen. Turns out the are different, one is a 16" one and the other a 12" one. One has a 3 Amp hour battery and the other has a 2 Amp hour. I just wanted to be sure I got at least one complete set.

It appears both are complete and both batteries are in the chargers. If they both work I will give one to my friend or sell it. If both don't work I will cobble together the best setup I can.

Thanks for the response.
