Question About a 1/8" Band Saw Blade

Can this narrow a blade be used for scrolling on a 14" machine? A pie crust table top calls for a scroll saw to cut out some of the profiling on the edges but I don't have access to one. Would a 14" machine be too much for such a narrow blade? Thanks,

I run a 1/*" blade on my Powermatic 14" about half the time. It works beautifully. No problems at all.
For cutting the pie crust edging, you'll find the bandsaw will cut many times faster than a scroll saw, and it'll require some concentration to stay on the lines, but the bandsaw will easily handle the job.

Jim is right. Do be careful tensioning the very narrow blade. Don't know what guides you have, but I have Carter guides and I don't think they would work with such a narrow blade.
I would be inclined to make a pattern for part of the edge and cut with router and pattern bit. You could use a pie shaped wedge centered on a hole in the bottom.
