Makita Worklight

John Foster

Hello all;

Does anyone have the Makita DML806 or DML807 LED light? These are the ones with the vertical cylindrical light. The reason I am asking is that our old fluorescent camping light is dying ( 12 years old, won't hold a charge, obsolete) , since I already have Makita 18V cordless tools, I thought an easy solution would to buy one of these lights. They look like they would nicely illuminate a picnic table for sitting outside at night playing cards or board games. Do they throw a good amount of light? What type of light, harsh bluish or soft white?

Thanks

John

I have the LXLM03, which folds down on itself, and only shines to one side. The light seems fairly white, neither blue, nor warmer like incandesent. When I'm using it as a work light in a room, I try to bounce it off the ceiling or a wall so I don't have to look into it every time I turn in toward it, which is something you will be dealing with on the lantern type. I don't think you have anything to worry about as for brightness or color of the two you ask about though.
