Screen Door Finish

Yonak

I made a screen door for our deck and I'd like to apply an oil wash on the inside. The thing is, I made it out of treated lumber because the last one rotted. Is there any amount of drying time I could allow where an oil finish would hold ?

Drying time depends on where you live and the local weather. I would leave the door indoors to dry. Flip it ocassionally to insure that it dries evenly. if it starts to warp or twist, clamp it. Ocassionally put some of the oil on an unseen spot, probably the very bottom of the door. When the wood drinks the oil in, it is ready.

..So I have hope. I'll give it a try in September.
