OT- Tablet Keyboard

For some reason I cannot seem to make my keyboard "intuitive" for selecting words. I think thst is what it is called. I select Predictive Text but it doesn't seem to do anything.
My tablet is a Samsung Tab 8.
Any assistance would be great.

There should be a settings button on the top line of your keyboard . If you press that you should see 'smart typing' that wher you need to be. Jooh b.

I see it and it is on but nothing happens.

Fixed! I found a selection to change from Samsung to G keyboard and that did I.
