Dust Collection Questions....

My post below about hand tool storage and the resulting pictures prompted me to ask, How do you do that? Did you clean to days before the pics? Do you never actually sand or cut wood?
I have most of my major tools permanently attached to a DC that is outside the shop in a small closet/shed. The others get connected when in use. Most of my portable power tools get connected to a Festool dust extractor/shop vac. I vac up the crumbs off the floor with the DC often. But there is a haze of dust on everything. I have an ambient air cleaner that runs when the lights are on and another that I remember to use occasionally.
Is the lesson here 90% is not good enough? Or do I learn to accept it?
