Performax Conveyor Belt Replacement

>I seem to recall a discussion on different "brands" or materials of conveyor belts for a Performax 16-32. I need a new one and am only familiar with the original equipment one which just came apart at the seem after many years use.

What's the best, most durable replacement though, I had no complaints with the old one except sometimes the wood would slip on it?

I just replaced mine *LINK*

>Do far I am very pleased with the seamless plastic replacement belt. I bought mine through Amazon from Hamilton Tool & Supply. Cost $75 plus $5.99 shipping. It seemed a little high but having replaced 2 sandpaper belts I was ready to try something different. So far I haven't had the belt wander and the wood seems to feed without the belt slipping.

Your mileage may very.

>I bought my Perfomax used. The belt still worked, but it was little ragged. The previous owner had sanded really thin stuff and there were slick spots on the belt where I believe he had litterally sanded the grit off the drive belt.

I bought a replacement Performax belt from The Local Woodcraft Store. I believe I paid $45 to $50 for it. I was amazed they had it in stock.

You might also try calling Customer Sevice of the WMH Tool group (they now own Performax) @ 800 274 6848 and see what they can do for you.

urethane worked great for me

>When I had a 22-44 Pro, I switched to the urethane plastic feed belt after replaceing the sandpaper a few times. Worked very well, and I thought it was a worthwhile upgrade.
