Whatever happened to Prairie Tool Co?

Brian in Sandusky, OH

>If you are not familiar, they are a small company that specializes in hand-powered grinders, along with many other kinds of grinders.

I googled for quite a while, and cannot find anything.

They were always my source for those small hand-cranked grinders for sharpening ala Krenov.

If they aren't around anymore, does anyone have a source for these grinders?

Thanks,

bg

I know that I can find them at antique shops, etc...but I'd like to find some new if possible.

>To no avail, I just looked through every tool catalogue, inc. on-line, that I have. Also did a internet search & nothing came up for those grinders.

I did find Prairie Tool address & tel. number.

Depending upon how long ago Prairie closed, it might be worth it to call as the number still might be operating. & they have left over stock that has been disposed of or might give you a lead on one.
