>Anyone have a favorite source for replacement batteries for digital cameras? In this case a Canon Sureshot S45. I'm at the point where I can't get more than 12-15 shots before the battery needs charging.
(Sorta OT only because I admit I have taken pictures of non-woodworking projects from time to time; but I swear I'll never do it again!!)

One of the most usefull $20.00 I've EVER spent !I keep the spare two bats and charger in my camera gear case. Charge up when you come in range of an electron source. They say that if you don't use the view screen they last longer but wheres the "cool" in not useing it ? Honest . . . twenty bucks for non-stop fun ! Oh, sorry . . . don't know what bats you use. You probably use the funny little ones like the old 35 SLR. Bet theres an adapter for them.

Currently we have 2 extra cells for my son's S700, 2 for my SWMBO's S400, and 1 for my G5. The cells are from 1 to 4 yrs. old. All are still in used and keep decent charge.

I've also had good luck with rechargable AA batteries and charger from Thomas Distributing, specifically the MAHA brand. Don't know if they carry specific batteries (AA?, Li-ion rechargable?) for your camera or not. Maybe a phone call or e-mail will give you info on whether they carry a backward compatable battery if nothing is listed for your camera. Good luck.
