What do yo think will happen?

>I've lamenated up a solid birch counter top; I used water proof glue and some serious finish. I've allowed for wood movement, holding at the back and allowing it to move forward. But it just occured to me.......How will the seasonl movement of the top affect the seal around the sink?

Silicone would probably move along with the wood and not have much problem.

>If the birch is acclimatized to indoor controlled humidity, and the house stays that way, you probably won't see huge movement. The change over 16 inches from 8% to 12% is only about 1/4 inch. If you have a lip over the sink, it probably won't be noticeable.
